Get Involved!

Without our donors and volunteers, the RISPCA could not function. There are many ways you can help us protect and care for homeless animals.

Ways to get involved

There are so many ways to help animals in our community. Supporting the RISPCA doesn’t have to just be about donating money. (Although that certainly makes a huge difference!) We save animals’ lives thanks to generous volunteers, foster parents, event attendees, donors, and staff who get involved and support our services.

Here are just a few ways you can get involved:

  • Volunteer
  • Foster
  • Events
  • Donate
  • Create a fundraiser (includes hosting a fundraiser, raising money through wedding or baby registries, collecting supplies)
  • Other ways to give
  • Careers

We receive no government funding and are completely independent from national animal welfare organizations like the ASPCA. Monetary donations and donations from our General Wish List or Foster Wish List are always appreciated. In fact, they are the reason we can continue to help animals. The RISPCA is a non-profit and relies solely on donations from individuals and charitable foundations.

There are many ways for businesses of any size to give, and each gift moves us closer to finding forever homes for more than 2,000 animals a year.

We also welcome support in the form of:

  • Foundations
  • Matching gifts
  • In-kind donations
  • Low-cost or pro bono services
  • Promoting awareness of our mission and services
  • Foundation grants
  • Employer-sponsored giving campaigns
